Requirements: • Sound knowledge of petrol and diesel engines • Good eyesight and methodical fault-finding • Comfortable working in inspection pits and on ramps Day to day you will carry out wheel alignment and tyre balancing; check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid; recharge and service the air-conditioning system; read fault codes and clear them after the repair; road-test vehicles to confirm the repair; replace brake pads, discs and callipers.
