Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Greater London, England. Your main tasks: • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes Overtime paid at a premium rate.
