Safety officer • Nsit Atai, Akwa Ibom State

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Nsit Atai, Akwa Ibom State. You will be based on a high-rise building project. Day to day you will enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site. You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
