Ladle pourer wanted in Barnstable County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On the job you will handle: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
