Vacancy available: we are hiring a bricklayer in Harlan County, Nebraska. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On the job you will handle: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go Overtime paid at a premium rate.
