Now hiring: we are hiring a kitchen porter in Greene County, North Carolina. On a typical shift you will clean extractor-hood filters and degrease the walls; mop the floors and wipe down kitchen surfaces and splashbacks; empty bins, take out the rubbish and break down cardboard; hand-wash pots, pans and trays using the three-sink wash-rinse-sanitise method; keep the dish pit tidy, dry and slip-free throughout service; restock clean glassware and crockery behind the bar. Ideal candidate: • Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen preferred • Keen eye for cleanliness and kitchen hygiene standards Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
