Banksman wanted in Madison County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Madison County, Virginia. You will be based on a high-rise building site. Day to day you will direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads. Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
