Sand plant operator • Bremer County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Bremer County, Iowa. Day-to-day duties: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
