Steel erection rigger • Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. On the job you will handle: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight You should have: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Full-time, day shift.
