Now hiring: we are hiring a halal butcher in Prowers County, Colorado. The job is at a wholesale meat market. Day-to-day duties: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights What we are looking for: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
