The role involves: • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Mask off glass, rubbers and trim before painting • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection You should have: • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes Six days a week, one day off.
