Immediate opening: we are hiring a truck driver in Borough of Halton, England. The job is at a haulage company. The role involves: • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards Ideal candidate: • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Confident with manual handling and load securing 1+ years on the tools preferred.
