Great opportunity: we are hiring a PVC window installer in Halifax County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy uPVC fabrication workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges Day to day you will check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; drill drainage and pressure-equalisation slots in the outer frame; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees.
