Join our team: we are hiring a garment presser in Person County, North Carolina. You will work in a busy laundry. Requirements: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep The role involves spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; give each garment a final press before packing. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
