Now hiring: steel fixer (Ohio)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixer in Hancock County, Ohio. You will work on a commercial tower construction site. The role involves: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
