Now hiring: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Shackelford County, Texas. You will work at a container port. You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Your main tasks: • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
