Now hiring: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Jefferson County, Iowa. You will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. You should have: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Own basic hand tools and PPE Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours.
