Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Grant Parish

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Grant Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Your main tasks: • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
