Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Bacon County, Georgia. You will clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through We offer $5,200 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
