Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Rotating shifts.
