We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Pope County, Illinois. You will work on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings On the job you will handle: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
