Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Grant County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. You will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay.
