Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Washburn County, Wisconsin. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Day to day you will select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. You should have: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
