We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in Williams County, North Dakota. You will work at a high-rise construction project. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Day to day you will fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
