Nursery worker • Vermilion Parish, Louisiana

Immediate opening: we are hiring a nursery worker in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. Day-to-day duties: • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Operate strimmers, leaf blowers and brush cutters Requirements: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish 2+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
