Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bakery assistant in Ijero, Ekiti State. The job is at a cake shop. The role involves: • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough What we are looking for: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
