Immediate opening: we are hiring a horticulturist in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a botanical garden. Ideal candidate: • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers On a typical shift you will maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings.
