Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Macomb County, Michigan. The role involves strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. Requirements: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
