Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment machinist in Malheur County, Oregon. You will clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges. You should have: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently 5+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts.
