Foundry labourer wanted in Greater Bridgeport Planning Region

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Greater Bridgeport Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. On a typical shift you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings We offer $30 per hour plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off.
