Immediate opening: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Fairbanks North Star Borough, Alaska. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. On a typical shift you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets We offer $4,800 per month plus benefits.
