Now hiring: we are hiring a metal caster in Blue Earth County, Minnesota. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Pay around $24 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
