Fabricator-welder • East Ayrshire, Scotland

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in East Ayrshire, Scotland. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You should have: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day You will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Full-time, day shift. We offer £115 per day plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
