Site safety steward — Highland County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a site safety steward in Highland County, Virginia. The job is at an oil and gas facility. Day to day you will record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry. Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours.
