Now hiring: we are hiring a head baker in Oxford County, Maine. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. Ideal candidate: • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Day to day you will weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; roll out short-crust and biscuit dough; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
