Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Clallam County, Washington. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Pay around $22 per hour, based on your experience.
