Immediate opening: we are hiring a construction helper in Siskiyou County, California. On the job you will handle: • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer Requirements: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Full-time, day shift. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
