Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Goochland County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Goochland County, Virginia. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets The role involves: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Full-time with occasional weekends.
