Cement mason wanted in Union County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Union County, New Jersey. The job is on a building construction site. Day to day you will carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
