Urgent requirement: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Stokes County, North Carolina. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. The role involves: • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case You should have: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Full-time, day shift.
