Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces On the job you will handle: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Part-time with flexible hours.
