Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in County Durham, England. The role involves cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. You should have: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
