What we are looking for: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Day-to-day duties: • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
