Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Webster County, Kentucky. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. You will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. You should have: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
