Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Huron County, Michigan. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Requirements: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
