Great opportunity: steel fixer (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a steel fixer in City of Portsmouth, Virginia. The job is on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Your main tasks: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift Ideal candidate: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Full-time with occasional weekends.
