Site safety steward • Rockbridge County, Virginia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site safety steward in Rockbridge County, Virginia. The role involves investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $28 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
