Now hiring: we are hiring a lift erector in City of Danville, Virginia. You will carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
