Argon welder wanted in Windham County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Windham County, Vermont. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Day-to-day duties: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
