Lift installation engineer • Polk County, Tennessee

Vacancy available: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in Polk County, Tennessee. The job is at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. What we are looking for: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Day to day you will rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables; run load and overload tests with test weights; install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake.
